In the MSP world, we have a weird form of Stockholm Syndrome. We call it a "Partnership" with Microsoft.
Let’s look at the reality of 2026. Microsoft isn't your partner. Microsoft is your landlord, and they’ve just raised the rent. Again.
The NCE Trap Microsoft takes the profit. You take the credit risk. If your client goes bust, you’re the one on the hook for the remaining months of their "Annual Commitment."
How did we let a trillion-dollar company convince us to insure their revenue for free?
The Security Shakedown Microsoft creates the vulnerabilities by building a monoculture, and then they sell you the "Premium" cure. It’s a brilliant racket. It’s like a fire department that only puts out fires if you buy their "Gold Plate" water.
By the time you finish "standardizing" on the Microsoft stack, you look like every other vassal in the kingdom. And when you look like everyone else, the only thing you can compete on is price.
Welcome to the race to the bottom.Whoever came up with that name should be held accountable.
